The suspected kidnappers of five corps members in
Omademe, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State have demanded a
ransom of N100 million for the release of their victims.
The five corps members, four females and one male, were kidnapped on Tuesday on their way to inspect a community project within Omademe Community.
A source in Ikwerre Local Government Area told THE PUNCH on Thursday that the kidnappers had established contact with the families of their victims and were demanding the huge ransom.
It was gathered that the corps members’ captors had also spoken with a top official of the National Youth Service Corps in the state on the need to pay the ransom without delay.
