Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has
appointed Mr. Yanju Adegbite as the Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the
Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State.
In a statement by the Special Assistant (Public Communication) to the Governor, Dr. Festus Adedayo, the governor charged Adegbite to restore BCOS to its old glory and reposition the foremost radio and television station as a force to be reckoned with in modern-day broadcasting.
Other members of the Caretaker Committee are Mr. Yomi Layinka, Mr. Femi Ipadeola, Mr. Dejo Olugbodi and Mr. Tunde Olaniyi.
The governor lamented that both the radio and television segments of the BCOS had literally departed from the values of their founding fathers.
The governor said Adegbite being one of the foundation broadcasters of the old Television Service of Oyo State, which transformed into BCOS, would change the face of the station.
