No canopy for Bankole’s polling unit

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Dimeji Bankole, on Saturday, failed to provide his polling unit with canopy barely six days after he lost his seat at the House of Representatives. It was gathered that last two Saturdays, the speaker had arranged for a canopy and chairs to provide shade and succour for the people of his polling unit while the election was going on. The story, however, changed on Saturday as voters and electoral officers were left at the mercy of the sun. A voter in the unit, Mr. Momodu Alimi, said he would not blame Bankole since the unit failed him during the House of Reps poll. He said, “Where will he get the money to provide it?
