One person has been reported dead in a bomb blast in an uncompleted building in Mahuta village at Mando area of Kaduna metropolis.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the incident occurred between 8p.m. and 11p.m. on
Thursday. Two persons have already been arrested in connection with the incident.
Eye witnesses told NAN that the blasts were suspected to have come from
locally-made bombs. The sources said that the blasts claimed one life and left one other person with burns.
Confirming the development, the spokesman for the state command, Malam Aminu Lawal, told NAN on Friday in Kaduna that one of the victims had died.
According to him, the other victim is currently under the intensive care unit at the St. Gerald Hospital, Kakuri in Kaduna South Local Government Area.
Lawal explained that the command had deployed a team of bomb disposal
experts to comb the area.
He, however, declined to name the suspects and the injured victim.
