ACPN: we are not considering any merger

The Allied Congress Party of Nigeria [ACPN] says it is not considering a merger with any other political party and remains focused on the governorship election coming up on Tuesday, April 26, 2011. In a statement signed by the state publicity secretary Alhaji Abdullahi Oganija, the party says it is disappointed with the outcome of the April 9, 2011 national assembly elections, considering the massive rigging by the Peoples Democratic Party. The ACPN governorship candidate, Senator Gbemisola Saraki is quoted as saying: the party is not considering any alliances as the ACPN is more popular in Kwara state. The party says it is determined to re-ignite the energy of its teeming supporters and encourage them to come out on April 26 and vote for the purposeful governorship candidate of ACPN.
