President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday explained
that he chose former Senate President, Chief Anyim Pius Anyim, as the
new Secretary to the Government of the Federation based on his track
record.
Jonathan had on Monday named Anyim as the successor to Alhaji Yayale Ahmed.
Jonathan, who spoke at the inauguration of Anyim at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja, said the former Senate president had a distinguished career at the National Assembly and was selected after a careful process.
The event was witnessed by a large number of politicians from various parts of the country.
Also at the ceremony, the reappointed National Security Adviser, Gen. Owoeye Azazi (rtd.), was also sworn in.
