Presidential candidates of the All Nigeria People's Party [ANPP], the Congress for Progressive Change [CPC] and the Action Congress of Nigeria [ACN] have pulled out of the presidential debate slated for Friday march 25.
A statement jointly signed by the spokespersons for the three political parties Sule Yau (ANPP), Yinka Odumakin (CPC) and Ibrahim Modibbo (ACN) cited the withdrawal of the Peoples Democratic Party's� from the earlier presidential debate organised by the television station nn24 part of their reason for pulling out.
The statement reads in part "we are highly suspicious of the celebrated romance with the BON debate by the President Jonathan�s camp which shunned the NN24 debate without an apology.
�We can only hazard that since most of the agencies organizing the BON debate are government parastatals, the organizers may not be in a position to resist the request for advance questions being given to the debates in which the NN24 agreed with us because they were independent".
They say consequently,� their presidential candidates will not honour any debate session with President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2011 elections since has also spurned a credible debate for which they� made themselves available and warned future presidents of Nigeria to be more careful in dealing with the feelings of others.
