Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State, Dr. Ade Dosunmu, has expressed optimism that his party will defeat the ruling Action Congress of Nigeria in Lagos in the forthcoming general elections.
He told a mammoth crowd at Eti-Osa and Lagos Island local governments during his ongoing state-wide campaign, that the reality had dawned on the “Asiwaju Company of Nigeria (ACN)” that it had failed the greater majority of the people of Lagos State.
Dosunmu also questioned the rationale behind Governor Babatunde Fashola’s questioning of his (Dosunmu) competence, saying while he served the people of Lagos and Nigeria with 24 years of unblemished record, Fashola’s only service was a “Personal Staff of Tinubu”.
“They have forgotten when they were demolishing people’s houses without alternative and building very expensive houses beyond the reach of ordinary Lagosians. They have also forgotten when they were demolishing traditional markets for shopping malls at a cost beyond the reach of our market women.
“They have forgotten how they were forcing and collecting peoples’ land under the disguise of building personal investment. They have forgotten when they were building toll gates to subject the people to hardship.”
