Randle alleges plot by ACN to rig polls

LAGOS- GOVERNORSHIP candidate of Social Democratic Mega Party, SDMP, Bashorun Jaiye Randle, has accused the ruling party in Lagos State of plans to put pressure on traditional rulers to use their offices to ensure large returns through thumb printing in their catchment areas. He also claimed that there were electoral malpractices in riverine areas in the state, noting that he had asked his agents to provide prove of alleged rigging in some local government areas of the state. Briefing newsmen, yesterday, in Lagos, Randle commended the Independent Electoral Commission of Nigeria, INEC, for the conduct of the National Assembly elections, saying it was an improvement from previous elections in the country.
