Lagos provides free bus ride for Easter

As part of the celebrations for the Easter season, the people of Lagos will enjoy free bus rides on Monday.
According to a statement by the External Relations Specialist of the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, Mr. Kolawole Ojelabi, the free bus services will be available on the Mile 12-CMS, CMS-Lekki/Ajah, Jibowu/Oyingbo-Mile 2, Oyingbo-Fadeyi, and Mile 12-Oshodi routes.
The statement said the operator of the Bus Rapid Transit was expected to service the routes.
It was stated that on the Bus Franchise Scheme, about 50 buses would be deployed in Ikotun–Ikeja –Maryland, Iyana Ipaja– Maryland, Ikotun–Iyana Ipaja, Igando–Iyana Ipaja, Igando–Ikeja, and Igando– Maryland routes.
While wishing the people of the state a happy celebration, LAMATA said it was the wish of Governor Babatunde Fashola that Lagosians renewed their commitment to making Nigeria great.
